Escherbach is an instrumental progressive rock trio from South Bend, Indiana formed early in 2007 consisting of three members of former South Bend band Eargazm.

After three years of playing together, Neil Carmichael, Minkis, and Sean Norris decided to focus on a single aspect of the former band and pursue a more cohesive sound as opposed to the multi-genre aspect of Eargazm. The result became a powerful trio whose music laces fusion arrangements with an aggressive-progressive rock style that satisfies the technical junkies yet is understandable enough for the casual music listener. Through the use of these styles, a driving rhythm section, complex-twisting melodies from both guitar and bass, and various visual effects, Escherbach forms a unique, and often intense experience intended to keep the audience engaged from start to finish.

After one year of productive writing, local gigs, and the recording of their first full length album Cycles, Escherbach is working its way into the thriving music scene of Chicago, branching out to the festival scene, and writing material for their second full length album.
